The Rural Connectivity Training & Research Centre established in the 28.06.18 with the Financial Assistance of Asian Development Bank under RCIP Tranche -1. The RCTRC established with the aim of conducting various Training & Research Work to enrich the field engineers about various engineering procedures and technical methodology. In last few years RCTRC had conducted various training programs which are related to the construction of road works with MORD Specification. The training conducted on the following subjects related to Road Works.

These trainings are part of training already conducted at RCTRC. There are also various things like Road Safety and other Related Parameters also cover under deferent training module.

In case of long span bridges major training for design of long span bridges using “MIDASCIVIL” Software also conducted for Assistant Engineer level where in hand software training also provided.

The state quality monitors also provided training for quality control of various parameters of Roads and Bridges.

These are various Research Work also conducted at RCTRC which include testing and curve generation related to sand content of soil with soaked CBR value. Research work also conducted on concrete mixed design and bitumen property

In recent development research work also conducted for FDR testing, mixed design, determination of thickness of FDR layer using “IITPAVE” also performed and training related to the subject enrich engineer to prepare DPR for upcoming batches under Rural Connectivity.

In Long term Research work the rehabilitation and retrofitting design of Bridges using 3D finite element software “MIDAS CIVIL” and performance evaluation under earthquake load based on field data. In this regard the bridge sensors already implemented in 2 nos. pilot projects on completed Bridge sanctioned under PMGSY.

RCTRC has great facility of Academic Infrastructure along with Hostel, Guest House, and Director House. Continuous efforts made such that trainee engineers could avail comfortable stay and fooding arrangement during the training period.
